As the summer heats up in Charleston, so does the drama, and this cast is starting to move like seasoned reality TV pros. If you missed Episodes 3 and 4 of “Southern Hospitality,” here’s everything that went down.
Emmy Lands in the Hot Seat
Emmy found herself at the center of one of the most uncomfortable group moments this season. What started as a tense dinner quickly spiraled when Brad, TJ, and Molly pressed her on her behavior. Instead of smoothing things over, Emmy only dug herself deeper, struggling to take accountability in a way that actually resonated with the group.
One of Emmy’s comments was called out as a microaggression, shifting the conversation from typical reality TV drama to something more serious.
Grace Lily vs. Maddie: Party Drama Explodes
Over at Molly’s party, Grace Lily and Maddie delivered the kind of chaotic energy this show thrives on. Grace Lily made an out-of-pocket comment that instantly set the tone, and things only escalated from there, including a petty but very on-brand argument over outfits.
In a turn of events, Grace Lily showed a more vulnerable side. She opened up about her struggles with substance abuse and took ownership of her addiction.
Joe Tries to Prove Himself:
In an attempt to prove he still has what it takes to work at Republic, he hit the streets with Justin, trying to bring people into the club the old-school way.
While Leva appreciated the hustle, she wasn’t exactly impressed overall.
Justin’s Messy Love Triangle:
Juatin has been spending time with Jordyn, an employee at Republic, but at the same time, he’s actively pursuing Mia. At Molly’s party it was outed that Justin had asked Mia on a date, which she rainchecked and later cancelled, which sent Jordyn into a spiral of not knowing where she stands with Justin.
Lake Faces a Reality Check:
Lake had one of the more serious and impactful storylines across these episodes. After defending Emmy, she was pulled aside by Michols for a deeper conversation about race and accountability.
The discussion forced Lake to reflect, and she made it clear that as a Black woman, she would never knowingly align herself with racism. Later, she sat down with Brad to apologize. It was a standout moment that allowed for something more meaningful.
Between the group dynamics, personal growth moments, and nonstop drama, Season 4 is hitting a new level. The cast feels more self-aware, more strategic, and honestly more like veterans of reality TV.
It’s giving early “Vanderpump Rules” energy in the best way: messy, addictive, and impossible to look away from, and if the first few episodes are any indication, this summer in Charleston is only going to get hotter.
You can stream all four episodes of “Southern Hospitality” now on Peacock.
