Southern Hospitality’s season four premiere wasted no time diving into the drama. From cheating rumors and workplace tensions to broken friendships, this episode set the tone for what looks like a messy season.

Emmy Faces the Cheating Rumors, Again:

One of the biggest storylines carrying over from season three is rumors of Will cheating on Emmy. This was never addressed fully since Will didn’t participate in last season's reunion, despite being at the filming location.

After filming wrapped, Brad and Molly claimed they overheard Will and Emmy talking about using the rumor that Maddie’s ex-boyfriend never actually cheated on her to deflect attention from them.

Brad Admits to His Lies:

Right off the bat, Brad admits to lying about Trevor cheating on Maddie. According to Brad, he only spread that rumor after Maddie spread the rumor about him in the back alley.

While Brad thought the two made amends after the reunion, Maddie wasn't quite convinced and questioned if his apology was sincere until it finally exploded at the end of the episode.

Molly’s Firing Sparks Controversy:

The biggest shock of this episode is that Molly was suddenly fired from Republic. Molly believes she was let go because of the personal information she knew about Michols and claims he “abused his power” to remove her from her position.

Michols has a different version of the story, saying he didn’t know Molly was being fired until the morning it happened. Leva contributed a third explanation to this, saying Molly was switching shifts too much due to having a full-time job outside of Republic.

Despite the accusation and Michols threatening to call the cops on Molly at the door of Republic, the two took accountability and apologized to each other. They want to work on rebuilding their friendship, with Molly even joking about unblocking him on Instagram.

Relationships Gained and Lost:

The episode also highlighted how in their hiatus the crews' relationships have shifted; Michols and Preston confirmed the ending of their relationship. Joe revealed he is ready for marriage, but Maddie admitted to Emmy, "Marriage scares the shit out of me,” confirming the two are not on the same page about their future. Meanwhile, Brad confirmed he is officially off the market with his new girlfriend, Julia.

New Faces and Big Announcements:

We also met new cast member Justin, who is a friend of TJ’s who recently moved back to Charleston.

To close off the episode, the group celebrated the first anniversary of Sir Wieners, where TJ made an announcement that he hopes to have an official store by their next anniversary. If this premiere is any indication, this season of Southern Hospitality will have plenty of drama and explosive confrontations.
