Here’s Everything We Know About the “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” Spin-Off

On March 23, it was confirmed by People that a “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” spin-off is officially in the works. 

Set in Orange County, California, the cast is ready to begin filming this spring with a fall premiere. As of now, Jen Affleck is the only cast member that will star in the series alongside nine new faces. 

This news comes after the recent halt in filming of season 5 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and the cancelation of Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette.”

"The girls are very overwhelmed," an insider told People. "They all banded together, and they don’t want to come back right now. They were just getting tired of Taylor, honestly. [...] They kind of all decided, as a unit, that they're taking the production pause, that they don't want to film right now. I don’t think they care about her really right now. They're just kind of like, ‘We're done for right now.'"

As this new spin-off series ramps up, the fate of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” remains uncertain, especially after the recent controversies within the cast.
